Louisa Carmona is a Swiss designer working through materials as both a medium and a system.
Her practice unfolds between making and mapping − from textile and object-based work to the development of material collections that organise, translate and activate material and cultural knowledge.
With a background in industrial design from ECAL and textile design from La Cambre, and shaped by field experiences with artisans across different cultural contexts, her work bridges craft, research and spatial practice.
She is particularly interested in how materials can be structured and shared − not only as physical matter, but as tools to inform design processes, environments and collective ways of working.
